About mostreadnews.com

The first data-driven news longevity aggregator.

Our Mission

We believe the value of news isn't found in how fast it's published, but in how long it commands the world's attention. Our platform removes the noise of the instantaneous news cycle to highlight stories with genuine staying power.

How We Rank News

Our backend engine employs a continuous sampling architecture that monitors the "Most Read" indices of premier global news organizations. Unlike standard aggregators that rely on social media engagement or editorial selection, our algorithm tracks the lifespan of an article's prominence.

By calculating the duration and position of a headline across multiple observation windows, we generate a proprietary Popularity Score. This ensures that the "Most Read Now" section reflects true collective interest rather than temporary clickbait.

Transparency & Sources

We prioritize reputable, high-standard journalism. Our data is currently sourced from the "Most Read" indices of:

Lead Engineer

Most Read News was built by Rene Roost out of a personal necessity. As a full-stack engineer, Rene found that staying genuinely informed required checking the front pages of multiple news organizations at least three times a day. It was a repetitive, inefficient process.

Rene developed this platform to automate that cycle. By continuously tracking article longevity and popularity, the system captures the stories that actually commanded the world's attention—ensuring nothing important is missed, even if you only check the news once a week.
