Corrections & Data-Error Policy
How to report an error in Most Read News data or analysis, how reports are reviewed, and how corrections are disclosed.

Report an error
Email [email protected] with the subject “Data error.” To make the report possible to verify, please include:
- the affected Most Read News URL;
- a clear description of the claimed error;
- supporting evidence, such as the publisher's page, an official record, or a dated screenshot; and
- your name and a contact email in case follow-up is needed.
If timing matters, include when you observed the issue and your time zone. Contact details are used to assess and respond to the report; they are not added to the public correction log.
What this policy covers
Reports can concern:
- incorrect or stale headlines, publishers, bylines, ownership or bias labels, publisher metadata, or cached images;
- duplicate articles, missed observations, or other scraper and collection errors;
- materially incorrect Popularity Scores, rankings, report figures, or calculations; and
- factual errors in Most Read News Insights reports or methodology descriptions.
Most Read News aggregates third-party articles and cannot correct a factual claim made by an original publisher. That request should be sent to the publisher. If this site has misrepresented the article or its metadata, it remains covered here. Copyright, image-rights, and removal requests follow the procedure in the Terms of Service & Privacy Policy.
Review and correction process
Rene Roost, the site's founder and operator, reviews correction reports. Data-collection and scoring reports are checked against stored observations, scraper records, calculation rules, and the relevant publisher pages. Editorial and report errors are checked against the recorded dataset, calculations, and cited sources.
When an error is confirmed:
- live article or publisher metadata is corrected in place, including replacement or removal of an incorrectly cached image where appropriate;
- collection or scoring defects are fixed and affected derived data is recalculated where the available records make that possible; and
- an affected Insights report is corrected in place. A material correction receives a dated note on that report and an entry in the public log below.
A correction is material when it changes a published figure, ranking, finding, conclusion, methodology description, or coverage claim in a way that could meaningfully alter a reader's understanding. Minor spelling, formatting, and non-material live-metadata fixes are corrected without a log entry unless they change the meaning of the content.
Most Read News is operated by one person. Reports are reviewed as promptly as practicable, but no response or resolution time is guaranteed. Evidence may be requested before a change is made.
